Sleek MakeUp - PPQ Shangri-La Collection Respect Palette

So when it comes to makeup I'm kind of snobby, sorry - I cant help it, I'm in the mind set you get what you pay for, I used to be a skincare specialist and its pretty much ingrained in me to look at the ingredients list. But I'd heard such amazing reviews about Sleek MakeUp that I had to pop into Superdrug and have a play! 20 minutes later I came out with this palette, an amazing MUA Eyebrow Kit thats identical to the HD Brows one, for £3.50!!! Also a free Rimmel Scandeleyes Nude eyeliner. So I think its safe to say I've been convinced, now no makeup is safe from me!

Anyway I was pretty pleased with myself and couldn't wait to get home. At first look, I was a little put off by the sponge applicator - it's my pet hate, I never have a never will like them, but that doesn't stop me loving ALL of the colours. The shadows are said to be inspired by classic Motown sound and the 60's style, they even have some really fun names like 'Otis Red' 'Aretha Orange' and 'Motown Mink'.

The browns and taupes are timeless classics which you can never have enough of and they are suited for everyone's colouring. Then the more spring/summer shades of pinks and coral, that are stunning. Perfect for that extra pop of colour when you feel the occasion is necessary, for me that nearly every other day :) My thoughts on the shadows in quality are that; they have great colour pay off, super easily blendable and have very little fall out, pretty perfect!

Top Row (L-R) Gladys white, James Brown, Shalamar.
Bottom Row (L-R) Roberta Black, Vandellas, Cameo Cream.

Top Row (L-R) Count Basi Beige, Aretha Orange, Otis Red.
Bottom Row (L-R) Motown Mink, O'jays, NewJack Pink.

After swatching the palette, I can honestly say I am shocked at how super pigmented they are. There are some beautiful subtle frosted colours. And then the matte shadows have a lush creamy texture to them. Motown Mink, O'Jays, Shalamars & Vandellas are my favourites!

At £7.99 I will most defiantly be going back for more! There isn't one shadow in this palette I don't like. I can't wait to have a proper play with them  on my eyes :)

What are you favourite Sleek products? Is there any other must-haves out there?

Nars Orgasm Blusher

Oops! this was only on my wish list for a week and I already caved in a bought it! I do have a good reason though, ASOS had money off and then I got 10% discount with my friends student discount :) I do think it was a worthwhile buy.
The colour Orgasm is a pop of soft pink, with the prettiest gold shimmer throughout it. It is a medium buildable colour with high shine finish. I am very pale at the moment (NC15!!!) and the blush looks so soft and pretty on, however when i'm at my normal colour (NC27/30) it will look amazing as a 'summer skin' blush!
I own ALOT of MAC blushes and have to say I'm very happy with this choice as I don't own anything in a similar shade. MAC blusher comparison; Springsheen is more coral, Peachykeen isn't as coral and its is more pinky than Style. The colour pay off is just right, I prefer more pearlised or satin finish blusher as you can build them a lot easier than matte or powder blushes.
I also like the sleek black packaging. Having it as a mirrored compact is also great for when I carry my blushes with me for a afternoon touch up! And price wise, its defiantly worth it.

Whats your favourite NARS products? Whats your opinion on their Illuminator?

Tom Ford Lip Colour Review

So it was a while back now where I first bought myself a Tom Ford lipstick. At £36 I made sure I scrutinised the whole collection before I picked my colour. I eventually fell in love with  '01 Spanish Pink', a soft dusky pink, with a rich colour pay off and a medium glossy finish. I couldn't wait to get home and have a play with it. So after a trial and test heres my outcomes...
The wear of the lipstick lasted around 4/5 hours with most of the gloss gone by the time I had the chance to reapply. The colour however was a strong payoff, which I love, I hate when you get the lipstick you love and the colours too sheer. I think you always feel a little more special when wearing more high-end cosmetics, I defiantly did when wearing this, however price and quality of the lipstick as much as I LOVE it, I wouldn't necessarily say its 'better' than lipstick from say MAC or Illamasqua etc.

01 Spanish Pink.

And then..... I couldn't help myself when passing the cosmetics hall the other day and  ended up pick up another Tom Ford Lipstick! Naughty I know :s but the colour is just so beautiful. It hasn't swatched great but its a lot more soft than as brown as the swatch looks.
My ratings are pretty much the same as 'Spanish Pink' however the counter was unmanned so I couldn't ask anyone if the texture was the same as the previous, to what I presume though, it is. Also on this image you can see the Tom Ford sign printed into the top of the lipstick, unfortunately as the previous image shows, it does not run continuously through the lipstick, which would be nice :)

What are your thoughts on the Tom Ford cosmetics range? What other products have you tried?

All New And Shiny...

Hi! well this is something i'm completely alien to. I don't creatively write, I don't keep a diary, I don't really read (except for other internet bloggers posts) but I am cosmetics and fashion obsessed and this is an idea i've toyed with for a long time but never really had the guts to do anything about it. So here I am giving it a go...eeekkk!

Little did I know the 'blogging' part was going to be the easier part, working out how to get the blogs layout something other than a blank page is something your going to have to bear with me for a while.

Fingers crossed I don't give up...
